Claudia Wyatt

*Clay College Graduate 2026*

Setting up her own studio in Stoke-on-Trent, Claudia Wyatt creates calm and quiet porcelain vessels with a simple elegance, inspired by clean lines and the contrast in nature of precision and randomness. At Clay College she developed a celadon glaze which produces crystal growth in a particular reduction firing schedule. She loves the contrast between the precision and control of making each vessel and the unpredictability of the glaze that makes each pot unique.

Making objects for every day use, Colin Turnbull celebrates the small, simple moments. Drawing inspiration from minimal and geometric shapes of mid-20th century modern design, as well as purely functional commercial products designed for repeated use, Colin works in stoneware, pushing features with exaggerated proportions such as bigger handles and rounder rims for a softer, playful, childlike aesthetic.
