Known for their art pottery and prestige vases, the artists at Moorcroft meticulously hand-paint the intricate designs created from hand-applied raised slip outlines using the same techniques used over a century ago.

Moorcroft Pottery History
With its recognisable Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts tube lined colourful designs, Moorcroft was established in 1897, and the factory was built in 1913. In 2025, Moorcroft Pottery was bought back by William J. Moorcroft, the grandson of the company’s founder, reopening its kilns and doors once more.

What To See & Do At Moorcroft Pottery
In addition to Factory Tours, there's also a Moorcroft Museum within the Heritage Visitor Centre, which is free to all and includes examples of William Moorcroft’s very first creations! The Moorcroft Shop showcases their vast ranges of hand-painted ceramics, along with the newly launched Moorcroft Home textile collection.

Just a few minutes away by car is Ford Green Hall – a beautifully preserved Jacobean farmhouse dating back to 1624 with a period garden, and surrounded by a nature reserve.
